Professor Kristjanson is Vice-Chancellor of Swinburne University. Her academic career spans 30 years, including university education and research in Canada, the USA and Australia.
Professor Kristjanson chairs the AuScope Ltd Board, a national company deploying earth science research infrastructure and serves on the Australian Synchrotron and AARNet Boards. She was a member of the National Health and Medical Research Council, numerous Cooperative Research Centre Boards and the International Centre for Radioastronomy Research Board.
She has been a pioneer in palliative care and in 2012 received the Bethlehem Griffith Research Foundation lifetime achievement award. In 2002 Professor Kristjanson was named the Australian Telstra Business Woman of the Year in recognition of her entrepreneurial work in health and science.
Professor Linda Kristjanson, Vice-Chancellor and President of Swinburne University of Technology, will welcome conference delegate to the ICIEA-2013 Conference and provide an overview of the University, outlining Swinburne’s research strengths and capabilities.
