Session Abstract:

Owing to the increasingly worldwide concern on the pollutants and carbon emissions, the urgent need for a low carbon energy and maritime transportation system requires continuous effort to make all the attached multi-energy grids greener and smarter. These requirements have encouraged the advanced energy storage technologies in high renewable penetrated power grids and transportation electrification. The aim of this special session is to present the emerging techniques and latest results in energy storage systems, laying the foundation for renewable energy systems and electrified transportation systems.

• Modelling and simulation of ESSs in various power grids
• Renewable generation and integration techniques in power systems.
