Power semiconductor devices are the cornerstone of modern energy conversion systems, driving innovations in renewable energy integration, electric transportation, industrial automation, and smart grid infrastructure. As global demands for energy efficiency, sustainability, and intelligent control escalate, advancements in device materials, architectures, and application-specific designs are critical to meet these challenges. Emerging technologies, such as ultra-wide bandgap semiconductors, advanced thermal management strategies, and AI-driven design optimization, are reshaping the landscape of power electronics. This special session aims to highlight cutting-edge research and development in next-generation power semiconductor devices, focusing on their role in enabling sustainable energy systems and reliable applications.
