With the increasing demands in logistics industry, aerospace operation, biomedicine and agriculture, novel developments and advanced technologies of intelligent robotics that can improve the work performance in complex application scenarios, such as emote operation, micro-manipulation, spacecraft maintenance, autonomous movement and unstructured situations, are expected to be developed. These complex environments are so challenging that new technologies, algorithms and concepts are highly anticipated.
This special session aims to showcase the cutting-edge developments that are pushing the boundaries of what is possible for intelligent robots in these demanding settings. We seek contributions that bridge the gap between theoretical innovation and practical deployment. The scope encompasses, but is not limited to, the evolution of specialized robotic platforms (such as aerial manipulation systems), breakthroughs in core robotic competencies (perception, planning, control), and the frameworks that enable reliable single or multi-robot operation in the real world.
