Summary of session:

Marine engineering is a critical foundation for marine resource exploitation and marine equipment technologies, playing an indispensable role in deep-sea resource extraction, offshore energy development, and marine transportation. As marine engineering equipment continues to expand toward deep-sea and complex environments, their operational systems face increasingly stringent requirements in safety, operational efficiency, and intelligence, particularly in path planning, motion control, energy management, and system prediction. The rapid development of intelligent optimization, advanced control, and artificial intelligence technologies provides new theoretical foundations and technical means for the low-carbon and intelligent operation of marine engineering systems.

Background and Justification:

The advancement of marine resource exploitation and offshore energy development, together with the expansion of marine engineering equipment toward deep-sea and complex environments, impose stringent requirements on the reliability and efficiency of modern marine engineering systems, under which traditional planning and control approaches are often insufficient. The adoption of intelligent optimization, control, and decision-making mechanisms can significantly enhance system adaptability, operational efficiency, and stability, thereby supporting the safe, efficient, and sustainable operation of marine engineering equipment and offshore power generation systems such as deep-sea mining systems, offshore platforms, and ships.
