Summary of session:

Integrated Energy System (IES) has emerged as a critical technology to address global energy challenges. By integrating multiple energy networks such as electricity, heat, cooling, and gas, it plays a vital role in improving energy utilization efficiency, reducing carbon emission intensity, and enabling the integration of high-proportion renewable energy sources. Leveraging intelligent technologies such as the Internet of Things, Deep learning, and advanced control systems, IES further achieves intelligent dispatch, real-time monitoring, and flexible demand response, laying a solid foundation for a low-carbon and intelligent energy transition.

Background and Justification:

Against the backdrop of global "dual-carbon" goals and the rapid development of renewable energy, traditional single-energy supply systems can no longer meet the demands for high efficiency, low carbon emissions, and flexibility. The Integrated Energy System (IES) addresses these challenges by optimizing multi-energy allocation, leveraging energy storage and conversion to mitigate the intermittency of renewable sources, and enhancing adaptability to diverse energy demands. Furthermore, the integration of digital technologies with IES unlocks greater energy efficiency potential, providing critical support for the development of smart cities and low-carbon energy systems.
