Welcome Message from General Chairs
Dear Colleagues,
On behalf of the organizing committee, we are pleased to welcome you to Catania, Italy and to the 21st IEEE Conference on Industrial Electronics and Applications (ICIEA 2026)!
The annual event of ICIEA has proven to be an important forum for researchers and engineers from all around the world to share their latest research results and accelerating the exploitation of new technologies in various areas of industrial electronics and applications. ICIEA 2026 continued to attract broad interest, with more than 470 submissions from 34 countries/regions. All the papers received were processed by the Technical Program Committee (TPC) of the conference. The TPC Chairs and Track Chairs worked professionally, responsibly, and diligently in soliciting expert international reviewers. Besides evaluations from reviewers, they also provided their own assessments to ensure that only high-quality papers would be accepted. Their hard work has enabled the conference to put together a very solid technical program that includes 417 papers for presentation. We would like to express our sincere appreciation to them for their dedication, diligence and commitments.
Besides the parallel technical sessions, three keynote addresses and five distinguished lectures on the state-of-the-art development in industrial electronics and applications will be delivered by eminent professors. We are indeed honored to have Professor Mariagrazia Dotoli from Politecnico di Bari, Professor Milos Manic from Virginia Commonwealth University, and Professor Shaoping Wang from Beihang University as the keynote speakers, and Professor Wenping Cao from Anhui University, Professor Xiaoqiong He from Southwest Jiaotong University, Professor Antonio Luque from University of Seville, Professor Yi Tang from Nanyang Technological University and Professor Binrui Wang from China Jiliang University as distinguished lecturers. We would like to express our sincere appreciation to all of them for their contributions and support to ICIEA 2026.
On behalf of the Organizing Committee, we would like to thank all the organizers of special sessions and numerous researchers worldwide who helped to review the submitted papers. We are also grateful to distinguished members of the International Advisory Board for their invaluable support and assistance. We wish to place our hearty thanks to all the members of the Organizing Committee for their hard work making this conference possible, and to many friends, colleagues, and family members who have helped the conference directly or indirectly.
